Mary has lived in Lowell with her husband Joe for almost 30 years.  They have two daughters Sarah and Lerin, who are very supportive of her work and inspire her daily.

 

Mary began studying with Loretta Sailors in the spring of 1998 and David Davis in 1999.

 

Throughout the years Mary has taken other classes with various artists and have found a love for other mediums such as acrylic and pastel to add to her first love, watercolor.  While she does enjoy painting florals and abstract, her true passion is nature. The beauty of the sunrise in the spring, the clouds in the sky. But her favorite of all time is the birch tree.

 

Her work has been awarded and appeared in the juried exhibits, Grand Rapids Festival of the Arts, West Michigan Regional and Grosse Point Congregational Church.  She has exhibited at East Grand Rapids Library, Wyoming Public Library, Northeast District Ottawa Library.  She currently has works at Beauty Within and Parooz shop in Grand Rapids.
