In 2021 Gary was one of the award winning artists in the Midland Art Center's 50th Anniversary Retrospective show in Midland MI.

Gary creates his art using a variety of materials and techniques. "I learned early on not to confine myself to traditional art making. I often include found objects with the written word, photo chemical printing processes, digital imagery, and image transfer. With this in mind, in 2021 I joined the International Society of Experimental Artists (ISEA) and continue to look for unique ways to express my creative vision."

Gary maintains his studio in the city of Lowell where he has lived and raised three children with his wife Tricia
