Lee Bolt

Ever since he took his first ceramics class in high school over twenty years ago, Lee has loved making pottery. Thinking it would be just an easy grade, he unexpectedly fell in love with the clay and has had it in his hands ever since. Lee went on to attend Calvin College and received a BFA in ceramics. After graduating, Lee took a few years off to start a family and save up for his own pottery studio.

Lee lives near Saranac, Michigan, with his wife and four children.  When he's not busy chasing after his kids, he finds time to work in his studio.  Lee loves opening his kiln after firing and as he describes, "to see the pots in all their glory.   It's always an incredibly exciting time to crack open the kiln and see the results for the first time."
